Untitled Novel - On Submission

Thousand miles from the nearest city, Kyle hides in the sunshine, among the cattle and the trees. Hides from a wife about to leave him and a brother he wants to forget.

A new player seeks drug market dominance, not for profit, but to destroy it all, save the town his way. Worst mistake that man made was thinking he knew what real fear looks like. When the unleashed forces of evil intrude on Kyle's cattle property he's hunted and he's not sure why.

Rachel always wanted to be a detective. But that was before the fentanyl and the violence and the fear it brings. People in her corner of the world, quiet country folks, they aren't used to it and they're scared. Then she hears about a rancher named Kyle that everyone assumes is involved. And he's missing.

Kyle and Rachel, drawing on those closest to them, must learn to trust again. But that’s easier said than done when forces of unknown evil roam among them all.

Faulkner. Hemingway. McCarthy. Harper. Crichton. Baldacci. Brown (only a little). McFadden. Koontz.

And all the awful authors that toiled away and from whom we all learned how not to write.
